National Poetry Month & Poetry Friday: Unruly (14 of 30)

It's National Poetry Month. I will be posting a poem each day. No theme. I'm just going to follow the spark each day, wherever I might find it. It's bound to be messy.

It's also Poetry Friday. Today's Poetry Friday roundup is hosted by Jone Rush MacCulloch

...a tricube attempt.

Unruly

please forgive
my lateness,
poet friends.

words refused
to be caged
on paper.

resisting,
lines, order -
to be tamed.

  1. Cathy, it is good hearing from you. Unruly is a great word to use as a prompt.

  2. I love writing "in the moment" - it's become a fallback for me on many mornings. Those darned words - resisting...to be caged!

  3. Oh this is great, all the William
    Carlos Williams vibes. Great tribune.
