National Poetry Month: A Lifetime of Firsts to Come 6 of 30

It's National Poetry Month. This month, I'll be on the lookout for JOY this year. In an effort to CHOOSE JOY, I'll share a poem each day this month about what I find.

A Lifetime of Firsts to Come

Life:
full of firsts.
First days,
moments.

Learning
to roll over,
to crawl,
to walk.

First
bicycle ride,
day of school,
lost tooth.

Years
full of firsts,
new beginnings,
possibility.

Today,
the first day
to meet
you.

Stepping
into a lifetime
of first
moments.

  1. Love your poem. I had my first grand baby so it resonates with me.
