National Poetry Month 11 of 30: Dear Coffeepot
The Hamilton Beach 2 Way Brewer Seriously, love this coffeepot. It can brew one cup or an entire pot. Dear Coffeepot Dear Coffeepot, I thank you for being there for me. Each morning I lumber to you though I can barely see. My eyes are still half closed; my brain is still asleep. Absentmindedly I reach for coffee and place it in a heap. I press your silver buttons; you start to do your thing. You get the morning moving, you whir, you hum, you sing. You take the water given and turn it deep dark brown. The smell soon fills my kitchen; my brain soon comes around. Whether a cup is needed or the day requires much more. You're always there for me, Dear Pot, It's you, I do adore. © Cathy L.
