Slice of Life: Happiness if Found Where We Stand 6 of 31

Here we go!  It's time for the March Slice of Life Challenge hosted at Two Writing Teachers.  It will be a busy month of writing, commenting, and learning with this community.  This year I've decided to try to focus my writing around happiness.  Stop by today's link up to join the conversation or find some great reading.

It's also  Poetry Friday!  Stop by as Robyn Campbell hosts today's parade of wondrous words.

Some search
weeks
months,
sometimes
a lifetime,
for happiness.

We act
as if it hides,
instead
it's always
right there
in a smile,
a cup of coffee,
an afternoon chat,
the song of the bird,
a sunset.

Happiness
watches us,
walks beside us,
waiting for us
to notice.

  7. What a gorgeous photo. I love taking photos like this. You caught that scene perfectly. Brava. Love the poem. Isn't it sad that some folks never understand that happiness is right there, and all they have to do is grasp it? I wish everyone could read your poem and see this photograph. Well done.
